Stephanie_BIOPIC1Stephanie is a sports enthusiast who loves running marathons, hiking, skydiving, and doing anything extreme and active. She also likes to travel, read, watch movies, and attend sporting events. This “girly-girl” is a tomboy at heart. In 2008, Stephanie moved to Houston, Texas to further her experience in television production. She left with only a car full of belongings, and started a new and exciting life. She has since worked as an intern and production assistant at KHOU-TV for the morning show, “Great Day Houston,” with host Deborah Duncan.

Tammy_BIOPIC1What better to do with two Bachelor degrees than work at a bar? That’s what this Bar Belle did for many years before betraying Peter Pan, getting a day job and growing up just a little.  Bars, lounges, ice houses, dives or whatever you wanna call ‘em, there’s something about a really good bar that she really digs.  If you throw in good drinks (nothing domestic), good peeps, good music and some sort of entertainment she can find a good time.  She likes it when her beer knowledge is respected, even though she is a girl.

Picture 1Carlos Meltzer is a food lover and home cook. He has spent the past decade exploring food through his work with a large scale organic grocer, non-profits, local farmers and chefs across the Houston landscape.  Most recently, he has ventured on his own to share his love of food with others through cooking classes that focus on local and seasonal produce. Carlos plans to soon begin working on a series of cookbooks. Since January, Carlos has been traveling all over Houston photographing everything he eats, drinks and cooks for the year. Ultimately, his chronicle will become  his first cookbook that shows what one food obsessed person can do with a kitchen and an appetite in 365 days.

Picture 2Kidz Korner host Jackie is a girl scout brownie, obsessed with the Jonas Brothers, self-proclaimed “choco-holic”, doesn’t like animals with red eyes like her family’s gerbil.  She loves to read and shop and when she was little(er) she used to tell people when she grew up she was going to make “prosthetic’s for poor people”.  Now she enjoys playing outside, discovering new places and introducing moms and dads to fun adventurous places to take their kids.
